Special interest rate
- Loan interest for Youth (18 yrs – 35 yrs), PLWD and the Elderly (age to be confirmed) is charged at 0.8% per month on a reducing balance.
Please note
- Interest is charged at 1% per month on a reducing balance, apart from Youth, PLWDs and the Elderly, who are charged at the special rate above.
- Repayment periods range from 1 to 96 months (8 years), depending on the type of loan and the amount of the loan.
- Self-guaranteed loans are 96% of the member’s savings.
- Guaranteed loans follow a 2 – 5 multiplication factor, guaranteed by other members of self help groups within Caritas Nairobi on a shilling-to-shilling basis.
- Loans can be guaranteed by members of other groups – Cross Guarantorship.
